Disability Day and MS Awareness Day

February 24th, 2017 was Disability Day and MS Awareness Day which both are dear and close to my heart. One of the best parts was that I had my really great inspiration, Melinda Rael Leonhardt, beside me. Melinda is my great inspiration because she has MS. I am very blessed to have her as my Godmother and my helper.

I want to give a very special thank you to one of my dearest friends, Sarah Maestas Barnes, for making today very special for me. I will never forget today. Sarah read my poem “Who Am I” in the chamber. AND for the second time, she awarded me for helping children with disabilities. This time, it was more special knowing I have made a difference for a little boy. I love you, Sarah!
