Disability Rights Awareness Day w/ Representative Maestas Barnes

February 3, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Feb 3, 2015, is a day to remember. Even though I didn’t have my DynaVox, Every Ability Plays Project made it to the Roundhouse. I am very honored Representative Maestas Barnes was my voice telling everybody to who she introduced me to about this project. I didn’t have my DynaVox because I went to listen in. My family and I got to see as the Representatives and Legislators were getting ready to sit. Minutes later, Sarah introduced me, my family, and EAPP. Afterward, she took us touring and she kept pulling people out to meet me. At noon, she gave a little talk in the rountunda in front of people with disabilities, and she said I was her inspiration. She called me up. Again she talked about my project. After, she awarded me for wanting to help children with disabilities. There, I saw my great friend Brianne Conner.
