Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and mission.
  • Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
  • Schedule and publish posts in a timely manner, ensuring consistency and coherence across all platforms.
  • Respond to comments and messages from followers in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communication team to coordinate campaigns and promotions.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure success and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices to ensure the organization’s social media presence remains relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and team members to gather content and ideas for social media posts.
  • Attend events and document them for social media.
  • Support the overall communication and marketing efforts of the organization as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Experience in creating and curating social media content.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of social media marketing and advertising tools and tactics.
  • Experience with social media analytics and the ability to use data to inform strategy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Passion for non-profit work and a commitment to the mission of the Every Ability Plays Project.
